101 US Soldiers are dead this month and one mother still weeps

One hundred and one soldiers have been killed this month in Iraq. That number may not seem like a lot to those who support this war, but for myself and others the number signifies a tragedy.

When one soldier dies, a whole community mourns and will so for years to come.

Today I met an extraordinary elderly woman in her early 80’s. She is the sister of one of my housecleaning customers who is 70 and is currently fighting a terminal disease (scholeraderma…in her case her lungs are hardening). My customer was not there because she went to the hospital last night because she had stopped breathing. Betty came by the house to do a load of laundry and to make dinner for her sister’s husband for when he gets home.

It wasn’t too long until her and I started up a conversation. She told me she’s going to miss her sister when she dies (she has less than 6 weeks to live and this is why I’ve been called in to help too) and was concerned for Mary’s husband who is not well himself. I asked her if her husband was alive and she suddenly got very quiet. I felt kind of uncomfortable because I thought that maybe I had asked something too personal after only knowing her for an hour.

She said, “My husband died in the Vietnam war”. After a few seconds of pause, I gave her my condolences and she said, “Everytime I turn on the news today and I hear that a soldier has died in this rotten, stinking Iraq war, I cry for the mothers and the families who have to deal with this type of loss. A death from war is not the same as a death in a car accident. Our children are not in our country when they die and they die without their family near them.”

Betty, whom I had only known for an hour at least, and I cried together this afternoon. She’s right when she says that having a loved one die in a war, even when the family knows it is a possibility, is a tragedy and it’s a tragedy that continues for a lifetime for the family affected.

Betty still longs for her husband and I could see it in her eyes. I asked her how her husband had died. She said he was on an aircraft that had just loaded up with bombs and had just taken off to drop bombs on a village when a huge gust of wind tore the plane apart (apparently the planes back then were made cheaply because they went through so many during the Vietnam war) and it crashed. Betty’s husband and the others who were on that flight did not survive. What still haunts Betty today is that there were no remains of her husband to be buried. She misses him terribly and has spent the last 38 years single and plans to remain that way until she dies.

So, one hundred and one deaths in the month of October 2006 is a huge number to those of us who don’t understand what noble cause the Iraq war is being fought for and those of us who don’t understand what war is good for.

Being with Betty today made me realize that there are thousands of people in our country connected to these soldiers who have sacrificed and they are going through exactly what Betty has gone through all these years. She understands their pain and now so do I.

Bush's Marvelous War

Iraq:

33 Iraqi's were killed in Baghdad today in yet another blast, which on a daily basis kills dozens of innocent lives.

80 Iraqi's were killed nationwide in what has come to be a part of daily life as Iraqi's watch the "liberators" further invade their country.

103 U.S soldiers have been killed during the month of October in Iraq, in what has turned out to be one of the bloodiest months since Bush's invasion.

There have been a "reported" 2,814 U.S. soldiers have been killed since Bush invaded Iraq.

It has been reported that nearly 750,000 Iraqi's have been seriously injured since Bush's invasion.

The Dept of defense claims 20,687 U.S. military have been wounded and since Bush's invasion.

The reported Non Mortal casualties for U.S. personnel totals 44,779 according to the Dept. of Defense.

Keep in mind the U.S. government normally underreports deaths and amount of people wounded so their war won't appear so bad.

George W Bush claims in nearly every speech that the U.S is winning the Iraq war and the "War on Terror".

As the civil war in Iraq widens, as the death toll on Iraqi's grow, and as U.S soldiers deaths continue to increase, the evidence becomes more and more clear.

Bush's marvelous war is marvelous only for the Bush elite.

George Bush: "Democrats are lacking a plan for Iraq"

Is this man freaking insane!!!?!!!! The democrats are the ones lacking the plan? Oh for the love of the Banana Muffins, it is his party who is in control of all levels of our government right now and it is he who COMMANDS THE FREAKING MILITARY. It is he who needs to come up with a freaking plan!

What is the republican plan? Well, for the longest time (since 2003) we've heard Bush and his Minions say "stay the course!". This has been their plan for years. The American people have asked these assholes what is the course that we must stay on, but as usual, all we've gotten from them is crickets chirping. To put it bluntly, the assholes in the republican party have no idea what their plan is but because they're calling it a plan (or a course of action)...so therefore, it must be alright and must make sense!

"Stay the course"...means what? It means to continue in the same direction. Quite frankly, what I'm seeing and reading about Iraq tells me that the course of action for the past 3 years has been:

1) To use our soldiers to protect American interests only and not the Iraqis

2) To allow our munitions to be stolen from our soldiers leaving them vulnerable

3) To not give our soldiers the stuff they need

4) To create a confusing democracy by having elections that consist of 300 political parties and 3000 candidates for the voters to choose from

5) To give the Iraqi voters purple fingers and then have the USA change the Iraqi leaders any day they damn well please that the Iraqi people elected

6) To allow the pilfering of our treasury and to not investigate the missing BILLIONS in Iraq

7) To do what they said they would never do: Nation building

8) The Construction of US military bases/Embassy which will upset the terrorists even more than they were on 9/10/01

9) Over 2800 US soldier deaths, over 20,000 US casualties, and over 600,000 Iraqis dead

10) AN AMERICAN PRESIDENT WHO IS AN ABSOLUTE IMBECILE!!!!

This is the wrong course and to stay on this course will continue to be disastorous for us, for the Iraqi people, and for our nation's reputation that has already pretty much desinigrated.

The republicans are the ones who wanted this war and they are the ones who need to come up with ANOTHER FREAKING PLAN OR COURSE!!!

Jees.

Enjoy, Rush certainly is..........

Only a repugnant hypocrite LIKE Rush Limpman could become famous, for stunts like, attacking a man for using medication to control a disease.

After all Rush has NO real disease, but he takes copious amounts of medication, and since he is faking it, he automatically thinks everyone else is.

Hopefully Karma will find a "fitting"way to reward the fat, limp, gutless, waste of human protoplasm. But one look at him she certainly has worked real hard at it.

Another Foley Scandal?

On the Chris Matthews weekend show, NBC News Correspondent Chip Reed said the Mark Foley scandal will widen.

Reed said the House Ethics Investigation will broaden which indicates there are many more key players involved than first reported.

The revealing fact is no report will surface until after the November elections.

Will the Republican controlled Ethics Committee wait until after the elections to say all is well, or will they do their job and bring their fellow GOP mates down?

By looking at past events, isn't it beneficial to the Republicans to claim they are widening the investigation until election season is over?

Ewwwwwwww......Pig Rabies

Friday, October 27, 2006

Check out this photo on AMERICAblog!

IT'S FREAKING HYSTERICAL!!!! I THINK THIS CARTOON PRETTY MUCH SUMS IT UP FOR THIS PRESIDENT. IRAQ IS A FREAKING MESS.

"Death of a President" opens today

The movie, "Death of a President", opens today in select theaters across the country. This movie is very, very contraversial because it shows the assassination (the killing of....not wounded like some theater goers thought would be the case) of a sitting president........George W. Bush. Now, we can all chuckle about this because over the past six years we've all thought about how wonderful it would be for this man to not be around any more, but in reality, there are consequences in that. The biggest one being that Dick Cheney would then become president and we all know that this man has been instrumental in the policy making of the Bush Regime and almost all of this man's ideologies have been formed over the last 30 years (his membership of the Project of the New American Century along with Rumsfeld has devoured America). He's a scarier man than the Lunkhead Bush for sure!

So, even though many neocon Bush Appeasers across the nation are denouncing this movie, I think it's really thought provoking and should be watched by everyone. Actually, I don't see what all the fuss is about considering my eyes have had to witness THE REAL ASSASSINATION OF JOHN F. KENNEDY for years on my television! This is a fictional account and a "what if?" kind of movie. I've read a few articles where people were silent after the assassination in the movie and were silent for the rest of it too. I think that speaks volumes. As much as we don't like Bush, we certainly don't want to see the man be gunned down. As a nation, we've seen it for real and it is painful. We would much rather have him resign or be impeached. Assassination? No.

I'm so happy to find out that it's playing here in Maine at a theater in Westbrook and will definately be going to see it. Once I do, I will write about it.

Here is the official website for the film.

Here are the list of theaters featuring this film across the country.

This man says he does "The Google"....

...but really, we all know he is what he is. He's an idiot. The man's cheese fell off his cracker years ago. He's finished. There isn't a day that goes by that Americans aren't scratching their heads and saying, "Why! Where did we go wrong as a nation to think that this imbecile would be perfect for the highest level in our government? WTF?!?".

Spit.

Will the freaking propaganda ever end with these fascist Pigs?!!!

Is Dick Cheney insane or does he just have his minions keep catapulting the propaganda for him, so no one will notice that he's a lying, deceitful, fascist Pig? I'm thinking both people! He is a freak of a man!

Yesterday on Randi Rhodes program on Air America Radio she played an audio of Dick Cheney on an obscure radio station in Fargo, North Dakota saying that he thinks waterboarding is a 'no brainer'. When I first heard it, I was livid because all this time the Dick and the Lunkhead have said that they don't torture and waterboarding is not their cup of tea. Well, during WWII our soldiers who were captured by the Japanese were waterboarded and Americans didn't like the idea of it back then. In fact, it's been a technique that we shouldn't be using for this reason alone! Why? Because one of our soldiers could be captured and could be waterboarded and if we, Americans (actually, I should say our 'leaders'), are using this kind of torture, then we are giving our enemies the okay to do the same! Apparently, this is okay now and the Dick is for it. Blasphemy!!!!!

Oh the progaganda too!

Today, Tony Snow was asked quite a few times about Cheney's comments about waterboarding and he started systematically denying that Cheney was referring to waterboarding when he said, "a no brainer". Oh for the love of the Banana Muffins! Americans have heard the tape. Americans have immediately understood that that is EXACTLY what the fucker meant. Americans are NOW disgusted that the Vice President of the United States is having the White House spokesperson now say that he didn't say what Americans thought he said!!!!

(Would someone please give me a bunny rabbit so I could pull it's ears off! This is how pissed off I am!!! Spit.)

Oh, and it gets better. Not only is the Dick catapulting the propaganda by denying infering something when the evidence is plain to all who listen to the audio, but ole Dick's wife Lynne.......is also catapulting her own form of propaganda BY DENYING THAT HER BOOK "SISTERS" DOES NOT INCLUDE LESBIAN LOVE SCENES, BROTHELS, AND ATTEMPTED RAPE! What the fuck is wrong with these assholes in the Cheney family? Are they all just fucking insane or do they really believe that MOST Americans are too stupid to realize that they're being lied to and deceive by fascist Pigs hell bent on destroying our nation by flushing everything down the Orwellian Memory Hole?

Well, this American is not fooled and if I had the chance I would spit in the face of the Dick and the Lynn. They deserve it. We're tired of their bullshit.

As you know.......VOTE FOR CHANGE IN NOVEMBER.....even if the race looks like a landslide in the democrats favor! We can't allow these assholes to continue the lies, the deceits, and all their propaganda to enter our homes anymore!!!

Who Knew WONKETTE was a danger to the Marine Corps?

They are fighting for freedom, but get NONE that is not approved by

=====BIG BROTHER=====

STOP ABUSING OUR MARINES!

We realize that when it comes to freedom of the press, the USA has fallen to Number 53 in the world — tied with our fascist homies in Croatia and the islanders of the Kingdom of Tonga! — but do we have to make is so damned obvious?
Another Marine stationed in Iraq has sent us a screenshot of what happens when you need some hot news on Macaca and Foley:

forbidden, this page (http://www.wonkette.com) is categorized as (Personal Pages) ALL SITES YOU VISIT ARE LOGGED AND FILED.

Nice little threat at the end, too. Asswipes.

Notice the other browser tabs. Two actual “personal pages” that rah-rah for Bush (What’s her name, the wannabe Coulter, and Hugh Hewitt) show up just fine, as our Marine Operative confirms. But “Talking Points Memo,” which is apparently one of the “left leaning” sites one hears so much about these days, is prohibited.

Writes the Corporal: “I think that this kind of censoring is a big deal. I can understand blocking porn, music and movies, and blatantly illegal sites, but blocking sites that some higher up just doesn’t agree with is disgusting. They are blocking a huge portion of voters from information that will help them determine which side to vote for. Because of this, the only news we get is from the big corporations or conservative based sites.”

Can we all say CENSORSHIP,

POLITICALLY BIASED CENSORSHIP.

BTW this is not a good way to tell the Marines they really HAVE the freedoms they are supposedly fighting for.

But then again the war is about spreading FEAR not freedom, and getting the rights to control the OIL.

Why can't the Marines just accept Georgie and Gen Peter pace really know what's best for them, and accept limits on freedom that would make Stalin smile.

At least NOW we know the error of our ways.

Why be competent when deceit, dishonesty, fraud, bribery, kick backs, smear campaigns, lies, and Lots and Lots of campaign donations will win almost every time. The sheeple eat it up, and turn on American Idol, or the latest chapter of pretty, dumb, blond and missing . And they can refinance their house to gamble in Las Vegas, or suntan in Florida for a couple of weeks while digging the debt hole that much deeper.

The neo-cons had no more an intention of bringing "democracy" to Iraq than the Nazi's had bringing it to Poland. They had to sell a war to people who ask for facts in 30 second sound bites, and fear sells like nothing else. So they lined up the "reasons" for the war and have spewed them out. One lie at a time, until even the Kool-aid swilling fooles could no longer accept it with a straight face, then just switch to the next lie. No explanation necessary, because the latest lie is the only relevant lie as far as their justification of the war is concerned. The previous lie that is discarded is inoperative, and bringing it up is simply being unpatriotic. We are at the point when the lies have failed to cover up the stench of the fiasco the neo-cons have wrought upon us.

NOW they have the Gall to ask what the progressives, who screamed at the top of their lung NOT to go, what we would do with the abortion of a country they made Iraq into. It is not what went wrong that haunts them, but the fact that with their voter suppression and Diebold machines, and wiz bang GOTV campaigns it might not be enough this time. So they attempt to spread the blame to all of us because WE have no plan to fix what they broke even if we tried to tell then NOT to. That is NO plan, and therefore we are at fault for not pulling their assess out of the fire.

Drowning people, destroyed cities in both Iraq and America, body bags, and piles of Iraqi torture victims at the Baghdad morgue do not slow them down. Tens of thousands of innocent people swept up for nothing more than being in the wrong skin at the wrong time, is the price they indigenous population is expected to pay for the "freedom" they got. Freedoms like being tortured at Abu Ghraib, and having their homes raided, and getting shot at checkpoints because they were never raised to speak English. It is collateral damage for the plan, the PNAC plan to control the oil market and middle east for another generation. We who were not anointed by GOD are supposed to sit down and shut up, because we obviously have NO right to challenge them in their mission, which it seems was NOT ACCOMPLISHED after all.

But that is a small detail that the rightwingnut talking heads can pass of as the fault of those who impeded them from achieving the righteous plans of dear leader. Remember it really is all our fault we did not fight harder for their illegal plans. We did not give up enough freedoms and sacrificed the lives of those they send into harms way silently enough(except for the photo ops of memorial day and veterans day). The troops are supposed to fight the war, and show up for the patriotic campaign backdrop images. Those who care for them should be grateful that the troops were given the chance to serve dear leader.

It is really all our fault we are not grateful enough, not for what they stole, No we are not grateful enough for what they have not stolen yet, and we still have. We are at fault because we dare to question them, and demand a resemblance to the reality we see, NOT the spin they claim it is. We complicate their plans because we will NOT rubber stamp them like their sycophantic minions in congress have for the last four years have done. And we expect results that include more than an increase of their bottom line, and an ever rising stock market.

Silly us, we thought the country was about all of us, which included truth, justice, honor, and a shared responsibility. At least NOW we know the error of our ways.

US soldiers can write a letter now...

...to their representatives here at home to express their displeasure with the Iraq occupation. Hopefully if enough letters are written by our off-duty soldiers or by soldiers who are now home from Iraq, the Congress will freakin listen!!

Here's an article on it:

U.S. troops speak against Iraq war

Service members use protection under whistle-blower laws to encourage Congress to pull American forces out of Iraq.
BY STEPHANIE HEINATZ

October 26, 2006
More than 200 active-duty service members are publicly asking their congressional representatives to end the occupation of Iraq and promptly bring American troops home.

Their action marks the first time since the United States invaded Iraq in 2003 that men and women still in uniform have publicly and collectively spoken out against operations there.

They are doing so under the Military Whistle-Blower Protection Act, which says active duty, National Guard and Reserve forces can communicate with their legislators without fear of reprisal.

In a conference call Wednesday with reporters, three of the troops involved in the effort pointed out that they are doing this off-duty, out of uniform and in no way as representatives of the military.

"While we do serve our country, we feel this occupation should come to an end," said Jonathan Hutto, a Navy seaman stationed in Norfolk.

If sent to Iraq tomorrow, Hutto said, he wouldn't disobey an order.

"We're not pacifists. We are not conscientious objectors. We are not encouraging anything illegal," Hutto said. They're just encouraging any service member who feels the same way to go to www.appealforredress.org.

"The way the Web page is set up is the service member sends a letter directly to their Congress member," said J.E. McNeil, an attorney advising the effort and the executive director for the Washington-based Center on Conscience & War, a group that helps protect the rights of conscientious objectors.

The service members submit their name, rank, duty station and home ZIP code. An electronic letter - stating that "staying in Iraq will not work and is not worth the price" - is then sent to their representative.

"When men and women join the military and put on the uniform they don't give up their rights as U.S. citizens," McNeil said. "Participating as fully as possible in their government, that's what these men and women are doing."

The grass-roots effort began early this year with Hutto as one of the organizers.

Hutto hasn't been reprimanded, but Navy public affairs officers did give him guidance so that he didn't violate the U.S. Code of Military Justice, a Pentagon official said.

"The idea ... originated when I was deployed off the coast of Iraq," Hutto said of his deployment with the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier.

An old professor had sent him a copy of "Soldiers in Revolt," David Cortright's book documenting the U.S. soldiers who opposed the Vietnam War.

"By 1971," Hutto said, "more than 250,000 of these active-duty service people appealed to Congress" advocating an end to that war.

Hutto and Liam Madden, a Marine Corps sergeant from Vermont, then brought Cortright to Norfolk to talk about the Vietnam-era G.I. movement.

"Why do I support this appeal for redress?" Madden said. "It's as simple as I oppose the war in Iraq. I feel it is my duty, not as a Marine, but as an informed citizen, to inform people there is a tool for them.

"The occupation is perpetuating more violence," Madden added. "It's costing way too many human, Iraqi civilian and American service members' lives."

As of Wednesday morning, nearly 2,800 U.S. troops have been killed in Iraq, with more than 20,000 wounded, according to the Defense Department.

Kathleen Duignan, executive director of the National Institute of Military Justice, said uniformed service members can express their views on personal time using personal resources.

Duignan, also an attorney, spent six years in the military as a judge advocate general. Her institute is a Washington-based nonprofit that aims to help the public better understand the intricacies of military justice.

"Everybody who wears the uniform is entitled to be equal members in the political process," she said. "You just have to be careful when and how you do it."
If you're a soldier or you have a soldier in your life who is against the Iraq occupation, please have him or her visit the Appeal for Redress website to submit their letter. I've linked to it on the sidebar as well.

We want our soldiers home. Our presense in Iraq is only making things worse over there and the soldiers know it. How wonderful it is that some of our soldiers are using THEIR RIGHTS to speak out against this atrocious occupation. So, the next time you hear Bush saying that our soldiers are over there fighting for our rights, we must remind him that our soldiers have rights too and MUST NOT BE PUNISHED FOR USING THEM!!!!!!!!!!!

One face of the Republican Party

This picture is REAL, it is on Larry Johnson's Blog No Quarter.

It is the perfect description of one of the themes the RNC is using in adds against African American Democratic candidates.

It is what the Repugs have quietly said to a particular branch of their party and this picture is PROOF that, that message works.

Bob Corker and the NRC has incited these people one more time in the hopes of pulling out another close election.

Republicans Election Idea

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist has told his Republican cronies to not mention Iraq during their campaign.

Frist says get voters to focus on pocketbook issues and their minds away from Iraq and they will win.

Frist told his Republican candidates to focus on tax cuts and lower gas prices and the public will forget about Iraq.

Frist says tax cuts mean more to Americans than the Iraq war.

Do the Republican leaders think that the American public, would rather have a $200 tax cut than US soldiers to be safe from harm?

Do the Republican leaders really think the public sits at home every evening looking through their TV channels for something about a tax cut, instead of the Iraq war?

Do Republican leaders think the American public is so narrow-minded that election eve gas prices will make them forget why the gas prices are so high to begin with?

Does the Republican leadership think the American public is blind to the thousands being killed in Iraq because of lies?

This is the real feelings of Republicans. They think Americans are so shallow that they care nothing for their military dead and wounded.

This is the Republican's America. May they fall by their own words.

More voter fraud.....ahhh....but different!

Will it ever end? Will there ever be a time in our country when Americans can go and vote and won't feel like Big Brother and his Minions are actively working to take our votes away to keep themselves in power? Jees!

Some voting machines are cutting off the last name of the voter on the summary page (shocked to hear that there was a summary page on these freaking machines!) and even candidates like James Webb has a last name that is too long for this page. Spit. Who wants to bet that internally in these computerized voting machines it "throws away" any ballot with a last name longer than 3 letters! Okay, maybe not but it just seems weird that the summary page is half-assed.

Choices..choices

This election cycle if it was not;

IT IS THE WAR STUPID

it would be:

IT IS THE ECONOMY STUPID

all over again.

Bush has out done his "daddy" in another way, he has given democrats TWO GOOD reasons to run against his policies on.

The National security of the country and the fiscal security of the people.

Your doing a heck of a JOB , Georgie...

Can we fire the Idiot NOW?

At least we can fire some of his enabling sycophantic minions come Nov 7th.

Wow! A GOPer is demanding...

...that Congress investigate the anthrax attacks from 2001! Finally. Of course, I could be celebrating a little too early, because once the FBI is pressured and the facts become known of who was behind these attacks, the investigation will come to a screaming halt. Why? I believe the anthrax attacks after 9/11/01 were perpetrated by individuals in our own government who were (and still are!) right wing loyalists to George W. Bush and his cause. The anthrax laced letters were not sent TO ONE REPUBLICAN, but were sent to Washington democrats and to those in the media who are liberal leaning.

Who are the only people in our country who hate and despise the democrats and the media (and who think the media is liberal biased)? The republicans!! Right after 9/11, the Pigs in the White House needed to continue the fear and needed to give another image to their base that the reason why we were attacked was because of the gays, democrats, and other liberal leaning thinking! I believe they were behind the attack and I'm not sure GOPer Grassley is going to like that when he finds out.

One thing I never understood.....how the hell did an Arab living in a cave in the Middle East (you know, the people who were blamed for the 9/11 attack) know the address of one of our Senators, his address, and knew all the democratic/liberal leaning media personalities to send these anthrax laced envelopes! Huh? Oh, that's right. Bush Loyalists sent the anthrax from our own military. The End.

The press conference we would all watch.

It will never happen, but the fact that only Dumsfeld and his minions think the cartoon is offensive and untrue, NOT the majority of the American people is tellimg.

Ronald McDumsfeld has surpassed Robert McNamara as the most out of touch and most dangeroug secretary of Defense. His hubris is astounding, but what I really wonder is what is Dummy Donny gonna do? Paul Wolfowitz has grabbed the Office McNamara went to, so is Dumsfeld gonna pull a Johnson, retire back home grow his hair long and sulk about how badly history is treating him?

It would be fitting.

Georgie's Homesick....

As they SAY, you can not make these quotes up;

Bush says he uses “the Google.”

Transcript:

HOST: I’m curious, have you ever googled anybody? Do you use Google?

BUSH: Occasionally. One of the things I’ve used on the Google is to pull up maps. It’s very interesting to see — I’ve forgot the name of the program — but you get the satellite, and you can — like, I kinda like to look at the ranch. It remind me of where I wanna be sometimes.

AAaaawwwwwww georgie's HOMESICK.

Too Freeking BAD;

Hell the IDIOT should google the word failure...and see what he really is.

Google FAILURE, #1 response;

President of the United States - George W. Bush

Bush is a failure just ask google

Google, "worst president ever";

response;

President of the United States - George W. Bush

Obviously google does "know" something, if it see's Bush as both a FAILURE and the worst president ever.

What will the Bush Library look like in the future?

A Boston Globe writer weighs in:

The stout-hearted could take in a lifelike simulation of the torture chambers of Abu Ghraib. Viewers would exit via the blinking color-coded lights of the Hall of Fear, showing the innumerable efforts to keep the American electorate in a permanent state of anxiety. An educational exhibit would trace the falsification of intelligence linking Saddam Hussein to Al Qaeda and to nuclear weapons, and the helpful role of credulous reporters.

The nearby Spin Gallery would feature journalists who temporarily thrived by serving as Bush's enablers. Judith Miller and Bob Woodward would each get a room. In the nearby Chamber of Echoes, viewers could trace administration talking points from press handouts to Fox News commentaries, editorials in the Wall Street Journal, and talk-radio scripts.

The Hall of Faith would depict the gift of tax-supported services to mega-church empires, and include videos of speeches by Bush's favorite televangelists, such as the Rev. Jerry Falwell calling the 9/11 attacks God's punishment for America's sinful ways. The parallel Hall of Science would display the handing over of science policy to deniers of global warming, religious opponents of stem-cell research and contraception, and sponsors of theological reinterpretations of Darwin.
The article linked above gives more detail and the author paints a very scary picture, but I bet in the future the current republicans will be working on that library like the Worker Bee's do for the Queen Bee! These republicans will diligently make sure that the Bush Queen Bee's needs are met, which will mostly consist of rewriting history to make him look good and won't contain not one thing mentioned in this article. Spit.

Armstrong Williams has cut a deal

Well, of course Armstrong Williams has cut a deal. He was "Mr. Propanganda" a year or so ago on his radio talk show where he was promoting Bush policies ("No Child Left Behind")after receiving money to do so! Pig. Spit. Punch.

Of course, cutting a deal when it comes to a republican fascist Pig means to accept no responsibility, pretend like you have no idea what the prosecutors are talking about, but yet, pay a fine because you're a really nice guy who thinks all 'non-criminals' should do so. Yup, you heard it folks. Williams has admitted no wrong doing, but yet, has no problem paying $34,000 for a propaganda crime he didn't commit! Pig. Spit. Face kick.

I would have rathered seen the ass go to jail for at least a month so he could get the idea that it's illegal to accept tainted money to promote the Bush Regime's tainted freaking programs!!!

Because he didn't go to jail, I will therefore stick to my original plan in November by voting for ALL of the democrats that appear on the ballot. You should too if you're sick and tired of the fascist Pigs in the White House, the Congress, and their friends in radio (or living under a bridge).

The Soldiers Know Best

Sixty-five active dutyUS soldiers are calling on the Republican led Congress to end the war in Iraq.

This is the first time US soldiers have actively called on Congress to put an end to the seemingly endless war.

Bush claims he relies on the officers on the ground to tell him if they need more troops.

Bush claims he relies on those on the ground to determine any change in strategy.

Will Bush rely on those on the ground and get our troops out of Iraq?

Will Bush make those brave 65 soldiers pay for speaking out on his "War for Oil" agenda?

If Bush really relies on those on the ground, then he should rely on the very ones who are getting shot at, dodging bombs and trying to secure the precious oil fields that Bush and Cheney love so much.

Do the Soldiers know best? Lets see if Bush thinks so.

Phoenix, Arizona is so freaking lucky!

Why? Because Air America Radio's ex-radio show talk show host, Mike Malloy, will be part of a new radio network created by the original Air America founders!!!! Woohoo!

This new network is starting out in a few outlets and Malloy's show is already picking up speed. Well, of course it is and I am so hoping that the Portland, Maine affiliate can somehow link Mike in or whatever! Mike Malloy speaks truth to power and he does it in a way that I can relate to. When I listen to him, I get as outraged as he does and I love it!!!

From the article:

Malloy is passionate -- outraged by what is happening to his country, He is concerned not so much with right or left, but with right or wrong. He literally speaks for all progressives in this nation -- even those who have not heard him -- and relentlessly follows the truth wherever it leads. Sometimes his words are a little wild, as they ought to be because, like Madsen, Malloy seeks neither to please nor entertain; but to shock the sleeping masses with the raw truth before it is too late.
Oh please, please, please...let's hope Mike's show and network goes national!!! He's fantastic and so missed right now. For most of us progressives, he was our heart and soul!!! I'm so happy to hear that he's back doing something in progressive radio.

Guess who is profitting from "No Child Left Behind"?

Well, of course the Bush family is!

From the LA Times article linked above:

Bush's family profits from 'No Child' act

By Walter F. Roche Jr., Times Staff Writer

October 22, 2006

A company headed by President Bush's brother and partly owned by his parents is benefiting from Republican connections and federal dollars targeted for economically disadvantaged students under the No Child Left Behind Act.

With investments from his parents, George H.W. and Barbara Bush, and other backers, Neil Bush's company, Ignite! Learning, has placed its products in 40 U.S. school districts and now plans to market internationally.

At least 13 U.S. school districts have used federal funds available through the president's signature education reform, the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, to buy Ignite's portable learning centers at $3,800 apiece.

Israel & D.I.M.E. weapons

Oh boy. Can anyone say war crimes? Well, it appears that Israel has D.I.M.E. technology (dense inert metal explosives which gives a powerful blast in a small area) and used in Gaza recently. It's my understanding that the use of this kind of weapon is considered illegal by international war treaties. The United States is saying that we also have this technology but it's still in it's research/testing phase (of course they're saying that because they don't want blood on their hands!!!), so we can't be blamed for putting this technology in the hands of the Israelis!!!

I'm so tired of the bullshit. War crimes have been committed for years under the Bush Regime and if Americans don't smarten the hell up and vote for change in November, IT'S GOING TO CONTINUE.

Here's the first part of the article in the Christian Science Monitor:

posted October 19, 2006 at 12:35 p.m.

Israel may have used experimental weapon in Gaza

In response to Italian TV report, Israel denies use of "Dense Inert Metal Explosives."

By Tom Regan csmonitor.com

An investigative report aired by the all-news state-run satellite channel in Italy alleges that Israel may have used a new weapon in Gaza recently that causes "especially serious physical injuries."

Haaretz writes that the Rai News 24 investigation follows reports by Gaza-based doctors of inexplicable injuries: an exceptionally large number of wounded who have lost legs, severe burns, and injuries unaccompanied by metal shrapnel that comes from a conventional bomb. Some of the doctors also claimed that they removed particles from wounds that could not be seen in an x-ray machine.

The Italian report identifies the possible cause of such effects may be a new weapon, launched by unmanned drones, mostly in July, though there were also reports of similar attacks in August. The Italian investigation raises the possibility that Israel has developed a weapon similar to the US military's Dense Inert Metal Explosive (DIME), "which causes a powerful and lethal blast, but only within a relatively small radius."

A very suspicious fire at the Ft. Meade complex...

...today makes me wonder if it was intentionally set by those who are close to the Bush Regime, especially with the November mid-term election coming up. Destroying the evidence of their crimes before the Patriots come after them holding torches and demanding transparency after the democrats take control of the House & Senate as a result of the election? Hmmmm...could be.

Funny, one would think that after a 6-alarm fire at one of our military bases that the 'liberal media' would be all over this story! Nope, just a reference to it here and there and no extensive coverage. In fact, what is so weird about this fire is that officials at the scene said the fire most likely started on the roof of the building. Huh, the roof. To me, when a floor collapses from fire it's usually the result of a fire beneath the floor, but apparently in Bush's world, fires started on the roof or high on the floors of a building, the whole building will come crashing down. Interesting!!!

From the article:

At a news conference last night, Col. Peterson said part of the roof of the three-story building collapsed onto a lower floor before the fire was contained. Efforts to contain the flames were complicated by strong winds.

"We don't really know the cause. We just know it started on the roof of the structure," he said. He added that minor construction was under way in the area of the roof where the fire started.
Apparently anyone who would normally be available to talk about this fire was strangely unavailable to make comments about the fire. Again, from the article:

Jennifer Downing, a Fort Meade spokesman, would only confirm a fire was burning at 4554 Llewellyn Ave., deep inside the west county Army post. She directed calls to a spokesman with the Army's Criminal Investigation Division, who did not respond to two telephone messages.
(...)

Fort Meade's fire chief also did not return calls for comment. Later, a public affairs officer told The Capital to file a Freedom of Information Act request for information.
Oh and then it gets real interesting....kind of reminds me how the Pentagon responded the morning of 9/11 when the "airplane" hit their building:

Army CID representatives forced a reporter and photographer from The Capital to leave the base about 30 minutes after they were allowed in. Officials told the photographer to erase all photos from his digital camera, and started ordering dozens of onlookers to clear the scene by about 5 p.m.
To me, this tells me that they don't want pictures because the lie the military/government is coming up with right now as you read this won't be able to be checked with existing photos of the actual fire site! Yup, LET THE COVERUP BEGIN.

Why the coverup? Oh yes, I forgot to add this part. The building that caught fire today at Ft. Meade contained highly sensitive data and information of the intelligence kind. Remember building #7 at the WTC site that was pulled by demolition a few days after 9/11 occurred and one of which hadn't sustained the type of damage to warrant that? Well, building #7 also contained highly secretive information that the feds could have used to prove cases against those connected to 9/11 and on Wall Street! Wow!

Spit.

Will there ever be a time I can trust my government? Nope. I can't trust them until after their corrupt, lying, asses are out!!!!!!!!!!!

Pat Tillman's brother writes a letter......

This letter is BY the brother of Pat Tillman. Kevin Tillman joined the Army with his brother Pat in 2002, and they served together in Iraq and Afghanistan. Pat was killed in Afghanistan on April 22, 2004. Kevin, who was discharged in 2005, has written a powerful, must-read document.

It is Pat’s birthday on November 6, and elections are the day after. It gets me thinking about a conversation I had with Pat before we joined the military. He spoke about the risks with signing the papers. How once we committed, we were at the mercy of the American leadership and the American people. How we could be thrown in a direction not of our volition. How fighting as a soldier would leave us without a voice… until we get out.

Much has happened since we handed over our voice:

Somehow we were sent to invade a nation because it was a direct threat to the American people, or to the world, or harbored terrorists, or was involved in the September 11 attacks, or received weapons-grade uranium from Niger, or had mobile weapons labs, or WMD, or had a need to be liberated, or we needed to establish a democracy, or stop an insurgency, or stop a civil war we created that can’t be called a civil war even though it is. Something like that.

Somehow America has become a country that projects everything that it is not and condemns everything that it is.

Somehow our elected leaders were subverting international law and humanity by setting up secret prisons around the world, secretly kidnapping people, secretly holding them indefinitely, secretly not charging them with anything, secretly torturing them. Somehow that overt policy of torture became the fault of a few “bad apples” in the military.

Somehow back at home, support for the soldiers meant having a five-year-old kindergartener scribble a picture with crayons and send it overseas, or slapping stickers on cars, or lobbying Congress for an extra pad in a helmet. It’s interesting that a soldier on his third or fourth tour should care about a drawing from a five-year-old; or a faded sticker on a car as his friends die around him; or an extra pad in a helmet, as if it will protect him when an IED throws his vehicle 50 feet into the air as his body comes apart and his skin melts to the seat.

Somehow the more soldiers that die, the more legitimate the illegal invasion becomes.

Somehow American leadership, whose only credit is lying to its people and illegally invading a nation, has been allowed to steal the courage, virtue and honor of its soldiers on the ground.

Somehow those afraid to fight an illegal invasion decades ago are allowed to send soldiers to die for an illegal invasion they started.

Somehow faking character, virtue and strength is tolerated.

Somehow profiting from tragedy and horror is tolerated.

Somehow the death of tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of people is tolerated.

Somehow subversion of the Bill of Rights and The Constitution is tolerated.

Somehow suspension of Habeas Corpus is supposed to keep this country safe.

Somehow torture is tolerated.

Somehow lying is tolerated.

Somehow reason is being discarded for faith, dogma, and nonsense.

Somehow American leadership managed to create a more dangerous world.

Somehow a narrative is more important than reality.

Somehow America has become a country that projects everything that it is not and condemns everything that it is.

Somehow the most reasonable, trusted and respected country in the world has become one of the most irrational, belligerent, feared, and distrusted countries in the world.

Somehow being politically informed, diligent, and skeptical has been replaced by apathy through active ignorance.

Somehow the same incompetent, narcissistic, virtueless, vacuous, malicious criminals are still in charge of this country.

Somehow this is tolerated.

Somehow nobody is accountable for this.

In a democracy, the policy of the leaders is the policy of the people. So don’t be shocked when our grandkids bury much of this generation as traitors to the nation, to the world and to humanity. Most likely, they will come to know that “somehow” was nurtured by fear, insecurity and indifference, leaving the country vulnerable to unchecked, unchallenged parasites.

Luckily this country is still a democracy. People still have a voice. People still can take action. It can start after Pat’s birthday.

Brother and Friend of Pat Tillman,

Kevin Tillman

MORE REPUBLICAN TRASH.....

Corruption never ends with these GOPers! It just gets worse and worse. From the Muckraker site:

CQ: Facing Fed Probe, House GOP Spending Chief Axes Investigative Staff

By Justin Rood - October 19, 2006, 7:11 PM

My goodness. As TPMm readers know well, House Appropriations chairman Jerry Lewis (R-CA) is under federal investigation for possible improprieties in how he oversaw Congress' spending of $900 billion annually. Yesterday, we reported that Lewis had dropped nearly $800,000 in legal fees to defend himself against the probe.

This evening, Congressional Quarterly reports (sub. req.) that in a round of calls Monday evening, Lewis fired 60 investigators who had worked for his committee rooting out fraud, waste and abuse, effective immediately. As in, don't bother coming in on Tuesday.

The investigators were contract workers, brought on to handle the extraordinary level of fraud investigations facing the panel. Sixteen permanent investigative staff are staying on, according to CQ. More:

Lewis’ decision “has in fact stalled all of the investigations on the staff,” said one of the contractors, a former FBI agent, who asked not to be identified. “This eviscerates the investigatory function. There is little if any ability to do any oversight now.”
. . .

“In effect, no investigative function is going to be done,” said the contractor, who called the decision “misguided.”

“This staff has saved billions and billions of dollars, we’ve turned up malfeasance and misfeasance,” the contractor said. “It’s results justify the expense of the staff. I have no idea why the chairman would do this.”

Lewis' spokesman, John Scofield, told CQ that such complaints were "sour grapes," and assured the publication that "there is nothing sinister going on."

"This staff has saved billions and billions of dollars"........... uh huh, you lying stinking filthy Pig.

Will Bush be leaving the country after 2008?

It appears to be true. The chickenhawk, warmongering cowards has bought over 90,000 acres of land in Paraguay.

I guess America's war criminal is thinking ahead!!!! Spit.

Riverbend is alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Baghdad Burning is her blog and she posted today.

After sitting in the US for a year while My daughter was deployed, I thought the gut wrenching fear was gone after she came home in Nov 2005.

Having served in Desert storm I have some knowledge how bad it is, if your in a combat zone, and how quick it all can end.

But when the story of Riverbend went around the net, that fear returned, for somebody I never met, but reading her words, made some sort of connection and until today I feared the worst.

And fittingly it was the Lancet Study about the 600,000 deaths in Iraq due to the war which stirred her back to the keyboard.

So no matter what the weather today, it is a good day.

Another one?

Look at the picture.

Go read this diary at the Daily Kos

If true when it rains on the repugs IT POURS(scandals at least).

BTW It's about the GUY behind Foley....

Here it is in a nutshell...

Condi Rice, the gapped toothed mouthpiece...

...for the Bush Regime said today that America will stand by Japan military and will use everything we've got to defend them against North Korea. Okay, on the surface, that is awesome. Considering it was our nation who developed the atomic bomb and then dropped two of them on Japan, which obliterated a quarter of a million people in an instant, I have to say, it makes me proud that we would be protecting them today. It should be that way. But....

What made me scratch my head is if our military is ready, able and willing to go and help Japan right now this very minute in any capacity that they're needed, then why the hell aren't we using our military in this same capacity in Iraq to stabilize it? I'm not saying we start bombing the shit out of Iraq, but what I am saying is, since the Bush Regime refuses to redeploy our troops to another nation, why don't they increase the amount of troops to stabilize the country and then get the hell out?

Believe me, I don't want our troops in Iraq. If I had my way, I would take John Murtha's advice and have our soldiers redeployed to Kuwait or some other country for them to be within earshot of Iraq if needed and it would give our soldiers a chance to rest or go home to be with their families. What is so frustrating to me is we went into that country with not enough troops to begin with and now that the country is in the midst of a civil war and a quagmire has transpired, even with 300,000 Iraqi troops trained (not sure I believe that number, but let's pretend, shall we?) and our 140,000 troops, it's still not enough! So, I think it makes sense to put more of our troops there to control it to the point that the Iraqis can take the reins.

Why send our troops to another land to fight when they're really needed in an illegal occupation courtesy of the chickenhawks in the White House that has spun out of control?

Can we please control one war (including the war in Afghanistan too!) Condi before we put more boots on the ground in a foreign land or by doing that does it cut into your shoe shopping?!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe this is all part of the plan by the Bush Regime....have American troops fighting wars all over the planet until our country is so destabilized and unprotected, that these same assholes can take over our country and we will welcome them because we're feeling desperate or........they just like the money they're making from all these war fronts. Either one seems plausible and it makes me sick to my stomach!!! Spit.

When I was reading the article above, it upset me to learn that the Japanese do not even like the thought of their country making a nuclear bomb because of their history with these bombs. It broke my heart.

John McCain said...

...he would commit suicide if the democrats win in November. Wow! Now, that is the smartest thing I've heard uttered from a republican's mouth for the past six years. I think all republicans in the House & Senate should follow in McCain's footsteps after the democrats kick their asses to the curb after the results come in.

Of course, McCain was joking, but it did give me some insight on how this man thinks and the rumors that have gone around for years about his time as a POW during the Vietnam war where he gave the enemy the information they wanted. This rumor could be true now. Hell, if he'll act like Hitler in the end knowing that his political enemies are coming and he takes the pill and then puts a gun to his head, then we know he gave the enemy tons of secret information just to save himself from having to endure more broken limbs! We all know McCain backed down against the big-eared, no-neck president on the torture bill, so it's not surprising that McCain is running scared over a democratic win. Woohoo!

Actually, I bet there are many republicans in the House & Senate who have bought their offices industrial strength document shredders and have a gun on hand just incase the Patriots can be seen crossing the lawn in front of their building and heading straight for them.

Torture by the democrats will come in the form of hearings and putting the fascists under Oath. This is our favorite kind of torture and we don't even like torture.

To be quite honest, I'm liking this a lot. I hope Bush's first press conference after the democrat's November ass kicking has him squirming and red faced throughout it. I, personally, will love that. Not even a chocolate cake drenched in rum with thick creamy chocolate frosting would make me that happier!!!

Dumb Question

That is like asking if Iraq is a fiasco, or the repugs are corrupt, but to an A$$CLOWN like Joe Scarborough, he thinks it will get him some new viewers after the Idiot he backed in 2000 and 2004 has failed so miserably and created the mess we now find ourselves in.

Yes Joe he is an Idiot, but so are YOU.

President Bill Clinton spoke today...

...at Georgetown University today to rally democrats. I wasn't able to watch the whole speech, which aired on MSNBC live, but did manage to hear some of it. One part of his speech hit home for me and it's not surprising whenever this man speaks I usually do walk away with a new perspective because he makes me think.

Today he was telling a story from when he was in school. Clinton's science teacher said to the class years ago that most of the kids taking this course will not remember much about what was being taught, but at the very least, he wanted the kids to remember one thing while taking the class. The teacher told the kids that when he gets up in the morning, he washes his face and then shaves and when he's done he tells his reflection in the mirror that he is beautiful. After a little bit of laughter in the Georgetown audience, Bill Clinton said, "...and by the end of the semester I thought he was beautiful too".

What Bill Clinton was saying is need to be telling ourselves we're beautiful and by doing so, the republicans will see us as beautiful too and won't feel so apt to call us 'ugly', which is really a reflection of the way they feel about themselves. Oh my, that is good, but as of right now, I can find a whole lot of beauty within myself, but the problem is I don't give a flying rat's ass what the republicans think about me or my party. Yes, Bill, I should give this a try. I know this but I can't.

Clinton's story is a good one, has a great lesson, and it is something that I will pass onto my son. Politically at this point, I don't have the energy or the stamina or even the passion to be beautiful in front of the republicans. Why? Because it's the republican party who has divided this nation. It's the republicans who stated, "You're either with us or you're with the terrorists", and have accused me of being a traitor to this country along with others because we are not a loyal supporter of Bush and his policies. It's the republican party who is in control of this country and has the power to change. However, it's the republicans who made it very clear they weren't going to change the dialogue in this country when their supporters in civilian life, on the radio, and on the t.v. were calling us traitors. The dialogue since then on their side of the political coin has not been beautiful. It's been ugly.

So Bill, as much as I love you and respect you, I can't be beautiful at this time. I have a 'war' to fight in my country and there are many people like myself who want to get dirty and fight hard for this country. See? I listened to your words, but your words have come too late. Thanks though. Your story will be near my heart when I can look through my front door and see my country and party for what it truly is: one that is humane, one that is patriotic in the positive sense and not made up of nationalists, and one that is kind, loving, and accepting. Until then, I will remain ugly and dirty fighting the good fight!!!!

Rep. Don Sherwood (R-PA) had a five-year affair with a 29-year-old woman that ended in 2004 when she called 911 after Sherwood allegedly tried to strangle her. The woman has now sued Sherwood “for what she alleges were repeated beatings that seriously injured her physically and emotionally.”

Can we all say HYPOCRITES now?

Today is the day people! Say goodbye to Habaes Corpus!

Yup, today's the day the TRAITOR IN THE WHITE HOUSE signs the Military Commissions Act which will give him heavenly powers to detain anyone he wants who he feels is an enemy combatant and which will take all rights away. Torture will be the key to Bush's success too! Oh yes, he'll have the power to detain, to torture, to keep indefinately (could be forever if he feels like it), and throughtout all of it, the person(2) will have no right to an attorney or a fair trial. Any information obtained through torture will be welcomed. Oh, and if the Decider says, "You know, I heard this guy had been conspiring against the United States. Yeah, his neighbor told me that", well, then the Decider's words can be used as HEARSAY EVIDENCE at the fake trial that will find the person guilty no matter what!

What will constitute an enemy combatant? Who the hell knows but the Decider will determine that!!! Knowing that a guy who used to blow up frogs for fun, well, I'm sure part of his fun will be choosing these very special people to be the first.

No more Habaeus Corpus for Americans who are labeled an enemy. You're either will Bush or you're with the terrorists and if you're not with Bush then you are DEFINATELY a terrorist!!!

I don't have a link at the minute, but I woke up so angry this morning, that I don't even care if I have a link or not. Call me an enemy combatant Dear Leader for not!!!!

I hate him.

Spit. Kick to Bush's face. Kick to his Sheep's face. Spit. Punch!!!

Okay, I've now had a minutes to look for a good article that explains why this Terror Bill is not good for Americans nor America. It's from Findlaw and is from October 11th.

Do You Believe Bush?

A New York Times/CBS poll say only 16% of Americans believe the Bush administration is telling the truth about what they knew before the 9/11 attacks.

The poll also found that 53% of Americans believe the Bush administration is hiding something.

In layman terms, 84% of the American people believe Bush and his co-horts are flat out lying about 9/11.

Do you believe Bush when he says he is winning the war on terror?

Do you believe Bush, when he says things are great in Iraq?

Do you believe Bush, when he says the economy is great?

Do you believe Bush, when he says the Republicans are better at protecting Americans?

3000 U.S soldiers are dead in Iraq, thousands of U.S soldiers seriously and permanently injured in Iraq, and a reported 650,000 Iraqi's dead from Bush and his war.

Bush is daily lying about his war in Iraq, thousands lose their jobs in America each week, Republican scandal after Republican scandal, being brought to the forefront, and Bush says these Republicans are moral and honest.

After all these other lies, Do You Believe Bush When He Says He Knew Nothing About 9/11?

The Pentagon is getting ready...

...for a new batch of Anthrax vaccinations for their employees who would be most affected by this biological weapon. Uh huh.

Okay, let's see if I get this straight. The person or persons who were behind the 2001 Anthrax attack after 9/11 have never been apprehended. What is so interesting about that is the recipients of the Anthrax laced letters that were mailed with the biological weapon were democrats and the media. For me, this spoke volumes on who was behind these attacks. It wasn't some guy wearing a turban and living in the USA, oh no, it was a republican in the depths of the military (it was Army-grade Anthrax) who I believe to this day would do it again because of his love and loyalty to the Bush Regime.

So, the November mid-term election is coming up and assuming it won't be stolen again, I bet the Pentagon on the advice of the White House is getting ready to attack Americans again IF THE DEMOCRATS TAKE CONTROL OF THE HOUSE & SENATE. Seems logical to me and if I could trust the asses in the White House, the Pentagon and every level beneath thereafter that is run by their friends, I wouldn't be thinking this way!

The real terrorists live in the Bush Regime. The End.

Quote of the day...

Jack Murtha said this in his opinion piece in the The Washington recently:

"It's all baseless name-calling, and it's all wrong...Unless, of course, being a Defeatocrat means taking a good hard look at the administration's Iraq policy and determining that it's a failure...In that case, count me in. Because Democrats recognize that we're headed for a far greater disaster in Iraq if we don't change course - and soon. This is not defeatism. This is realism."

This quote reminds me of this famous quote from years ago:

President John F. Kennedy on being a liberal...

"I believe in human dignity as the source of national purpose, in human liberty as the source of national action, in the human heart as the source of national compassion, and in the human mind as the source of our invention and our ideas. It is, I believe, the faith in our fellow citizens as individuals and as people that lies at the heart of the liberal faith. For liberalism is not so much a party creed or set of fixed platform promises as it is an attitude of mind and heart, a faith in man's ability through the experiences of his reason and judgment to increase for himself and his fellow men the amount of justice and freedom and brotherhood which all human life deserves

I believe also in the United States of America, in the promise that it contains and has contained throughout our history of producing a society so abundant and creative and so free and responsible that it cannot only fulfill the aspirations of its citizens, but serve equally well as a beacon for all mankind. I do not believe in a superstate. I see no magic in tax dollars which are sent to Washington and then returned. I abhor the waste and incompetence of large-scale federal bureaucracies in this administration as well as in others. I do not favor state compulsion when voluntary individual effort can do the job and do it well. But I believe in a government which acts, which exercises its full powers and full responsibilities. Government is an art and a precious obligation; and when it has a job to do, I believe it should do it. And this requires not only great ends but that we propose concrete means of achieving them.

Our responsibility is not discharged by announcement of virtuous ends. Our responsibility is to achieve these objectives with social invention, with political skill, and executive vigor. I believe for these reasons that liberalism is our best and only hope in the world today. For the liberal society is a free society, and it is at the same time and for that reason a strong society. Its strength is drawn from the will of free people committed to great ends and peacefully striving to meet them. Only liberalism, in short, can repair our national power, restore our national purpose, and liberate our national energies.

What do our opponents mean when they apply to us the label "Liberal?" If by "Liberal" they mean, as they want people to believe, someone who is soft in his policies abroad, who is against local government, and who is unconcerned with the taxpayer's dollar, then the record of this party and its members demonstrate that we are not that kind of "Liberal." But if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal."

President John Fitzgerald Kennedy

This picture about says it all

This picture about says it all, it comes from Juan Coles blog, which is a very good place to start looking for news about Iraq. News that is, that goofey is not writing for the disney fairy tale that is the official storyline out of the reichwingnut crazies department washington has become as of late. Hell even Monty Python probably would have thought the snark and hubris a bit much even for one of their skits. But then again, they were writing comedy, NOT the tradegy we have being orchestrated daily out of the Pentagon and White House. When the SS Bushite finally sinks, and it will sink, we survivors will have to man the lifeboats to attempt to reassemble the nation which was created in 1776, and try to wash the stain off it's image for the next couple of decades.

The repugs and neo-cons have had their day and have screwed up, there is no other way to put it. Either by design or incompetence, or both, they have failed in almost all areas they endevoured. Yes they have slopped at the truogh for a while and are fatter for it, but in doing so they have damaged the fabric of our democracy, destroyed the military readiness of the country, and threatened the fiscal health of this country which will loom as a very real problem for a long time, and will have to be address by our children. Bush has a program of "leave no child behind", and he made sure that all of them have to carry his burden for a good portion of their lives. I'm sure they will appreciate it.

History probably will record Bush as the worst President ever, and I'm sure they will be the ones to make it a MEME they hold for their lives just as the "greatest generation" did Hoover. November is a commin' and it is time we TOOK back our democracy from these sycophants and morons, who pretend to knowe what they are doing.

Summer of Goodbyes...

Residents of Baghdad are systematically being pushed out of the city. Some families are waking up to find a Klashnikov bullet and a letter in an envelope with the words “Leave your area or else.” The culprits behind these attacks and threats are Sadr’s followers- Mahdi Army. It’s general knowledge, although no one dares say it out loud. In the last month we’ve had two different families staying with us in our house, after having to leave their neighborhoods due to death threats and attacks. It’s not just Sunnis- it’s Shia, Arabs, Kurds- most of the middle-class areas are being targeted by militias.

Other areas are being overrun by armed Islamists. The Americans have absolutely no control in these areas. Or maybe they simply don’t want to control the areas because when there’s a clash between Sadr’s militia and another militia in a residential neighborhood, they surround the area and watch things happen.

Since the beginning of July, the men in our area have been patrolling the streets. Some of them patrol the rooftops and others sit quietly by the homemade road blocks we have on the major roads leading into the area. You cannot in any way rely on Americans or the government. You can only hope your family and friends will remain alive- not safe, not secure- just alive. That’s good enough.

For me, June marked the first month I don’t dare leave the house without a hijab, or headscarf. I don’t wear a hijab usually, but it’s no longer possible to drive around Baghdad without one. It’s just not a good idea. (Take note that when I say ‘drive’ I actually mean ‘sit in the back seat of the car’- I haven’t driven for the longest time.) Going around bare-headed in a car or in the street also puts the family members with you in danger. You risk hearing something you don’t want to hear and then the father or the brother or cousin or uncle can’t just sit by and let it happen. I haven’t driven for the longest time. If you’re a female, you risk being attacked.

I look at my older clothes- the jeans and t-shirts and colorful skirts- and it’s like I’m studying a wardrobe from another country, another lifetime. There was a time, a couple of years ago, when you could more or less wear what you wanted if you weren’t going to a public place. If you were going to a friends or relatives house, you could wear trousers and a shirt, or jeans, something you wouldn’t ordinarily wear. We don’t do that anymore because there’s always that risk of getting stopped in the car and checked by one militia or another.

There are no laws that say we have to wear a hijab (yet), but there are the men in head-to-toe black and the turbans, the extremists and fanatics who were liberated by the occupation, and at some point, you tire of the defiance. You no longer want to be seen. I feel like the black or white scarf I fling haphazardly on my head as I walk out the door makes me invisible to a certain degree- it’s easier to blend in with the masses shrouded in black. If you’re a female, you don’t want the attention- you don’t want it from Iraqi police, you don’t want it from the black-clad militia man, you don’t want it from the American soldier. You don’t want to be noticed or seen.

I have nothing against the hijab, of course, as long as it is being worn by choice. Many of my relatives and friends wear a headscarf. Most of them began wearing it after the war. It started out as a way to avoid trouble and undue attention, and now they just keep it on because it makes no sense to take it off. What is happening to the country?

I realized how common it had become only in mid-July when M., a childhood friend, came to say goodbye before leaving the country. She walked into the house, complaining of the heat and the roads, her brother following closely behind. It took me to the end of the visit for the peculiarity of the situation to hit me. She was getting ready to leave before the sun set, and she picked up the beige headscarf folded neatly by her side. As she told me about one of her neighbors being shot, she opened up the scarf with a flourish, set it on her head like a pro, and pinned it snuggly under her chin with the precision of a seasoned hijab-wearer. All this without a mirror- like she had done it a hundred times over… Which would be fine, except that M. is Christian.

If M. can wear one quietly- so can I.

I’ve said goodbye this last month to more people than I can count. Some of the ‘goodbyes’ were hurried and furtive- the sort you say at night to the neighbor who got a death threat and is leaving at the break of dawn, quietly.

Some of the ‘goodbyes’ were emotional and long-drawn, to the relatives and friends who can no longer bear to live in a country coming apart at the seams.

Many of the ‘goodbyes’ were said stoically- almost casually- with a fake smile plastered on the face and the words, “See you soon”… Only to walk out the door and want to collapse with the burden of parting with yet another loved one.

During times like these I remember a speech Bush made in 2003: One of the big achievements he claimed was the return of jubilant ‘exiled’ Iraqis to their country after the fall of Saddam. I’d like to see some numbers about the Iraqis currently outside of the country you are occupying… Not to mention internally displaced Iraqis abandoning their homes and cities.

I sometimes wonder if we’ll ever know just how many hundreds of thousands of Iraqis left the country this bleak summer. I wonder how many of them will actually return. Where will they go? What will they do with themselves? Is it time to follow? Is it time to wash our hands of the country and try to find a stable life somewhere else?

She was saying goodbye in this last post, but it appears to me that she was saying goodbye to her friends in Iraq who were leaving the country to get the hell out. So, where is she? It breaks my heart, but at the same time, this is the world we live in now. The Bush Regime doesn't want any truth getting about their illegal occupation in Iraq and someone like Riverbend was doing just that. She's not the first journalist or concerned human being to be saddened and outraged by the effects of Bush's decision long ago.

I hope Riverbend is safe but my instinct tells me she's not.

Christopher Shays has won a much deserved award

Awwwww how cute. Christopher Shays, the republican US represenative of Connecticut, has won an award (see it at the above link) for saying this about Ted Kennedy when asked about Dennis Hastert:

  • "I know the speaker didn't go over a bridge and leave a young person in the water," Shays was quoted Wednesday by the Courant. "Dennis Hastert didn't kill anybody."

  • What a well deserved award. :-)

Will there ever be a time when the republicans won't bring this accident up? If not, then I hope the assclowns in the current republican party realize that we (liberals, democrats, rational republicans) will not forget what they've done. Shays needs to realize that crimes against children are as bad as drunk driving accidents. Each is horrifying. The End.

Violent crime is up under the Bush Pig

Who would have thunk it? Our nation under the Bush Regime, you know, the guys who say they are the reflection of honesty, integrity, and of moral values, is now leading us into a crime frenzy here at home. Wow? Completely shocking...I guess all those wars, signing statements by the president saying he doesn't have to abide by any law that he signs, and a dreadful economy that the president and his Cabal doesn't want to admit to has had an adverse reaction to the people of our country.

According to the police chiefs of our country, violent crime is happening now at an "alarming pace". From the article above:

Although the hard facts echo earlier statistics from the FBI, what is striking are the anecdotes from the police chiefs and mayors. They say a new "culture of violence," an "alarming element of viciousness," is now attached to many violent crimes.

In this culture, the report explains, "arguments over seemingly minor issues escalate to the retaliatory murder of additional people." In Trenton, N.J., for instance, an argument between two girls escalated into seven separate shootings over 24 hours. One chief said he's frustrated with homicides in his city, and noted that they seem to be committed without any apparent motive.

"They occur for no apparent rhyme or reason. They come up over the smallest issue," Richmond, Calif., Police Chief Chris Magnus is quoted as saying.
School shootings, Amish girls being blown away, and a whole family murdered execution style because an asshole wanted their vehicle. The police chiefs of this country say that many of these crimes can be blamed on rap music or movies that make gangsters look powerful. Though some of the crime can be atributed to this, but I think it has more do with this:

The report finds that the combination of guns and youth is the major contributor to the surge in violent crime. Many police chiefs expressed alarm about the easy availability of guns and are worried about legislation pending in Congress that would restrict the federal ATF from sharing gun-tracing information with local police, making it harder to track down the guns used in crimes.
The biggest reason in addition to guns being available to our young people could be that our police across the nation don't have the money to secure themselves and their districts. Our police are there to protect us and if they're understaffed crime can escalate.

Some police chiefs also complained that homeland security and the dollars spent to fight terrorism since 9/11 have become, as one put it, the "monster that ate criminal justice." They are frustrated because they believe the nation's priorities are sacrificing hometown security for homeland security. They believe they can be better partners for homeland security if they're not overwhelmed by problems on their own streets.
Of course, Homeland Security has no idea what they're doing when it comes to combatting terrorism, let alone, violent crime (which is the same thing but try telling them that!). In July of this year, their 'terror target list' was shown to the public and on it was these 'targets of terrorism': "Old MacDonald’s Petting Zoo, the Amish Country Popcorn factory, the Mule Day Parade, the Sweetwater Flea Market". And our police wonder why crime is up! Those in charge above them in the security field are lunatics!!!

If I'm not mistaken, under Bill Clinton, violent crime and most crimes on every level went down. Why? Because the poor and the needy in this country were doing much better than they are today. Of course, there was crime back then and there will always be crime, but what is disgusting is crime is becoming more vicious and sadistic when our nation is being led by a madman who thinks he's a good example to the youngsters of our nation. He's wrong....again! Our nation always reflects our leaders and right now with crime escalating at the pace it is...is proof of who Bush and his Cabal truly are!!!

The wave might just be becoming the Tsunami of 2006

This poll, by James Carvill, Stan Greenberg and Ana Iparraguirre. and it is very interesting.

    http://democracycorps.com/reports/analyses/Democracy_Corps_October_13_2006_Memo.pdf

It is PDF format, but worth the read.

    This is their cover letter:

    RE: MELTDOWN

Report on the Special Survey in 49 Republican-Held Seats
We do not often get to write such a report — changes so large over such
a short period that they certainly portend a whole new playing field for the
November election. This survey of 1,200 likely voters was conducted in only
Republican-held seats, yet Democrats are ahead by 4 points overall in the named congressional vote (49 to 45 percent); indeed, they are ahead by 2 points (48 to 46 percent) in the bottom tier of presumably safest seats.

This vote represents a dramatic change in the state of the race over the
last two weeks. The end of the Congress — with the increased pessimism and
anger about Iraq and the Foley scandal and subsequent partisan brawl — has
moved voters to shift their assessments of the parties and their votes. The 1994
election broke at the end; this one just broke. The shift is evident on every
indicator — party, Bush, war, intensity and morale.

The shift this poll shows in the Republican held seats reflects a dramatic
change nationally in the generic congressional ballot. On Monday, Democracy
Corps will release a report that shows that a 5-point swing on average to the
Democrats in the ten media polls conducted in October. The Democratic vote,
stuck at 49 percent for months, suddenly jumped to 53 percent in the last two
    weeks.

We highlight these findings this Friday afternoon because Democrats and
progressives need to think radically differently about the 2006 battle — in this
three-week window. In 1994, the race shifted dramatically at the end, but
Democrats have a chance to consolidate gains large enough to affect
congressional control over this decade. That means allocating resources and
finding new resources to lock in the gains, as the Republicans move their much
greater resources up to the new barricades.

In addition, the meltdown was produced by a collapse in confidence in Republicans without a comparable surge for the Democrats. After flat-lining for a year, the Democrats have edged up but their favorability (warm responses) is only 2 points higher than the Republicans. Amidst all the mudslinging, Democrats can consolidate and expand these gains if voters will hear what Democrats want to do with a new majority — work with both parties and the President to take a new direction in Iraq and wage a better war on terrorism, work to lower drug and gas costs, and to achieve energy independence.

    Why is this meltdown happening?

    • Iraq. The new belief — and by very big number — that the U.S. is losing ground in Iraq, and the thinking that it is making us less secure, has turned voters against the Republicans.

    • The President has tried to nationalize the election around national security, but instead, he has nationalized the Iraq war — which is now clearly dominant as a reason for voting.

    • Individual Republican incumbents have suddenly lost their incumbent protection and are now fully associated with the Congress that people hate. Drop in incumbent job approvals is the biggest factor opening up the playing field.

    • The Congress is seen as a bickering mess that is getting nothing done for people. Disapproval hits new highs.

    • Intensity is tilting the playing field: strong disapproval of Bush is double strong approval; those voting Democratic are now 16 points more likely to be enthusiastic about election than Republican voters.

The result is the lowest scores in more than a decade for the Republicans and the Congress; a president in people’s faces who is more unpopular than any president in memory, a likely electorate even more Democratic than the broad electorate; and an across the board shift in the vote across Republican districts.

This meltdown is real but given its timing, an immense opportunity for Democrats to move
strategically to consolidate gains at an unimagined level.

It takes time to look at it all, but it is inspiring to think that they got results like this in RED Districts. If what they say is TRUE, November might be a bigger blow out than conventional wisdom is allowing right now. They polled repug districts and democrats did better than repugs in many instances. The wave might just be becoming the Tsunami of 2006, one can HOPE beyond hope this year.

Wall Street Journal Has It Right

Democcratic wins in November might boost the economy according to the Wall Street Journal panel of economist.

Most economists said the economy would perform best if the Democrats take control of at least one branch of Congress. Of 35 economist surveyed, only twelve differed in that assessment.

The surveyed economists also stated that health care and Social Security should be the top priority of Congress.

Even the far-right leaning Wall Street Journal knows that in order for the economy to prosper, it must be in the hands of Democrats.

Who killed WSJ reporter Daniel Pearl?

Remember him? He was the Wall Street Journal reporter who was kidnapped and executed by extremists back in 2002 and the video of his beheading was all over the Internet? Well, our government has now indicated that Khalid Sheikh Mohammad was his murderer and will be tried sometime next year for it. That sounds all well and good, because most Americans want to see some of these guys on trial, but as I was reading the above linked article, I wondered if we still have the wrong guy and it has left me confused. I wonder if the Bush Regime, who has proven to us over and over that they're incompetent and will resort to anything to create the illusion that they are on top of things, has again used unjustifiable means to get what they want.

First, here's what the Time reporter wrote:

One former U.S. national security official tells TIME there is no doubt that KSM personally wielded the knife that killed the Wall Street Journal reporter. This official says that Ahmad Omar Saed Sheik insisted under interrogation that taking Pearl's life was not at first part of the kidnap plot — though Sheik also told his questioners that Pearl's kidnappers could never have released him because he was Jewish. But as the scheme unfolded, someone senior to him in the al-Qaeda hierarchy, known as "the fat man," took control of the operation and beheade Pearl.

    And then this:

Sheik never identified KSM as the actual killer, however. The FBI deduced KSM's role only after analyzing a video of the crime, in which only the perpetrator's hands are visible. That video was released by Islamic militants soon after Pearl's murder and then widely shown on Arab television and the Internet. Eventually, the FBI obtained its own version of the original video, as well as the camera used to photograph the murder.

Now, I don't like the idea of torturing anyone to get information out of a suspect, because the information obtained under this circumstance is almost always not usable, because the person being interrogated will admit to things that are not true just to stop the torture. According to the Bush Regime, KSM was waterboarded for 2 minutes (a huge amount of time and a length of time that our soldiers have a hard time reaching when the same technique is used in training!) and then gave our government "valuable information". (It's also been reported that KSM and others of his stature have been tortured so badly that they are not to be seen by the American public because of the backlash.) The FBI has also stated that the beheading video of Daniel Pearl offered a look at the killer's hands and it was this that connected KSM to Pearl's beheading. So....

Here's where I'm confused and pissed off about:

Once KSM was taken into custody in March 2003, a comparison of the hands shown in the video and KSM's own hands, along with other evidence, confirmed the FBI's suspicions. Then, under interrogation, KSM confessed, national security officials told TIME, admitting without remorse that he personally severed Pearl's head and telling interrogators he had to switch knives after the first one "got dull."

You mean to tell me that they looked at KSM's hands on the video, then in person, had other information connecting him, determined he was the guy who beheaded Danny Pearl and then proceeded to torture him to get a confession out him?????? Why the hell did they need to torture him when the video of the hands is clear to the FBI that KSM's hands are doing the beheading? I don't get that and I don't like that either!!

KSM is 'obviously' the guy who did this murder because his hands are in the video holding the knife, but what if....what if!...that isn't a true statement and our government actually tortured this man to get him to confess to a crime he didn't commit or what if he is the killer but was just tortured for fun at the hands of our government? Oh God. I don't know. Also, if he's the alleged mastermind of 9/11, why wasn't he interrogated for a confession since our government feels torturing is so effective? Again, I don't know!!! LOL

I'm tired of all of this. I want my mommy.

    This about says it all

It was a bit more than a three hour tour, but it has also been much more disastrous.

Of course if I had to see THAT much of Denny Hastert, I might be ready to "spew chunks" also

    Well what do you know!....

THE ASSHOLE IS STILL DRUNK WITH LYING, DECEIVING, AND DISTORTING POWER!!!

Can America take much more of his crap or do we need to continue to smash our heads between the door and it's frame to put up with his madness? I think not!

I think it's time Americans moved forward by kicking out the appeasers of this man and by giving power back to the citizens of our country!
    Agree?

    Congress might become BLUE

New poll out suggests the DEMOCRATS will have a 19 seat majority in the House........Speaker Pelosi?

I wonder if Denny's gonna pull a NEWT and resign if they lose control?

And remember we have just under 4 weeks to go, so the majority just MIGHT GROW.

The trends almost all year has been towards the democrats, and the repugs have pulled their campaign funds out of races held by democrats so they ARE playing defense.

This could be the election which is the watershed movement to turn this country around, and return the congress back for the people, by the people and to the people.

    Bush's Rose Garden speech today...

...was another embarrassing moment in the history of our nation. Okay, maybe not that bad, but the man is so angry about people not understanding what he means when he says something that it's really getting to be very uncomfortable to watch him. He acts like everyone else on the planet is stupid, doesn't know history, doesn't understand the images or the news reports coming out of Iraq, and he certainly can't understand why anyone would want him to clarify anything. He feels that when he says something, Americans should just absorb it and go on. Well guess what? No!!!

Throughout the whole press conference he acted annoyed with having to do it. He was helpful to me at one point, however. He made something very clear to me. He was asked about comments made about Iraq and how it's maybe time to change the course over there and here's what Bush said:

The stakes couldn't be any higher, as I said earlier, in the world in which we live. There are extreme elements that use religion to achieve objectives. And they want us to leave, and they want us to -- and they want to topple government. They want to extend an ideological caliphate that is -- has no concept of liberty inherent in their beliefs. They want to control oil resources, and they want to plot and plan and attack us again. That's their objectives. And so -- and our strategic objective is to prevent them from doing that. And we're constantly changing tactics to achieve that objective.

Now, when he said this, I said to myself, "That's exactly what he and his Pigs in Washington are doing!!". Bush has used his religion and his beliefs to catapult his insane agenda. He's said in the past that God told him to attack Iraq, he's said that he talks to the Higher Father instead of his Earth-born father, and some of his followers and believers (just like Jesus had apparently) think that God chose him to be the president of the United States during this time to lead our nation into the Final Battle. Whackos! Nonetheless, he has used religion over and over and over and he's no better than the terrorists or those who wish to harm our country, but apparently when he was talking today, he forgot about that. Also, the concept of liberty does not equal torturing prisoners and taking habeas Corpus away from Americans either! Bush has prevented liberty to exist in our own nation right now and he keeps changing tactics until Americans don't realize that it has happened. Jees.

Of course to make my point above, Bush went on to say:

This is the real challenge of the 21st century. I like to tell people we're in an ideological struggle. And it's a struggle between extremists and radicals and people of moderation who want to simply live a peaceful life. And the calling of this country and in this century is whether or not we will help the forces of moderation prevail. That's the fundamental question facing the United States of America -- beyond my presidency. And you can tell I made my choice. And I made my choice because the most solemn duty of the American President and government is to protect this country from harm.

I think the real ideological struggle is between Good & Evil and right now Bush has made our country the Evil in everyone's side. There is no moderation with the Bush Pigs. It's either, "You're with us or you're with the terrorists". There is no in between. He is a fanatical dictator who is no different than Kim Jong Il at this point. When Bush speaks, he spews fire and nothing else. Lies, deceits, and distortions and when that fails, he'll become the conductor for his minions to chant, "Deny, distort, divert!". It's all smoke and mirrors with these assclowns.

Here was his biggest denial of the day:

Q Thank you, Mr. President. Back on Iraq. A group of American and Iraqi health officials today released a report saying that 655,000 Iraqis have died since the Iraq war. That figure is 20 times the figure that you cited in December, at 30,000. Do you care to amend or update your figure, and do you consider this a credible report?

THE PRESIDENT: No, I don't consider it a credible report. Neither does General Casey and neither do Iraqi officials. I do know that a lot of innocent people have died, and that troubles me and it grieves me. And I applaud the Iraqis for their courage in the face of violence. I am amazed that this is a society which so wants to be free that they're willing to -- that there's a level of violence that they tolerate. And it's now time for the Iraqi government to work hard to bring security in neighborhoods so people can feel at peace.

No question, it's violent, but this report is one -- they put it out before, it was pretty well -- the methodology was pretty well discredited. But I talk to people like General Casey and, of course, the Iraqi government put out a statement talking about the report.

Q -- the 30,000, Mr. President? Do you stand by your figure, 30,000?

THE PRESIDENT: You know, I stand by the figure. A lot of innocent people have lost their life -- 600,000, or whatever they guessed at, is just -- it's not credible. Thank you.

There he goes again! Denying scientific research! Yup, he can't admit that he's killed more people than the tsunami did in 2004. He can't admit that he's killed more people than Saddam Hussein did. And.......he can't believe a word of John Hopkins/MTI research because he says they're discredited entities! Oh for the love of the Turnip Truck.......can the man just admit for once that he is a warmongering, lying, stinking, no good for nothing, piece of shit? Apparently not!

I can't wait for the November mid-term election. I will be shoving my ballot up the ass of the nearest Bush supporter when I'm there!
