A former Navy intelligence officer weighs in on how the world will stop Iran from building nuclear bombs:

"I really believe the Israelis are going to strike [Iran's] several uranium processing factories soon. They cannot survive a first strike. This time, unlike when they sent eight F-16s to destroy the Iraqi reactor Osirak, I think they will use the Jericho missiles and the submarine-launched, nuclear-tipped Tomahawks to do nuclear strikes. Most of the factories are 150 meters underground and too deep for bunker busters."


Hopefully this is JUST wishful thinking on this guys part, because a nuclear FIRST strike on Iran by Israel will throw the entire region into chaos. It would also doom the 140,000 US troops inside Iraq into a position of fighting Sunni insurgents and VERY mad Shiites, who will not be very happy about the actions of the Israelis or the Americans who seem to allow Israel what ever they want, at that point.

And hopefully the Israeli's will see that the strike would release the anger of the Muslim world upon it. And they do NOT have enough troops, planes and tanks to take on all the Muslim nations if their militaries fight along with groups like Hezbollah, Hamas and other jihadist extremists.

An attack by Israel on Iran like this would probably be viewed in the Arab and Muslim world almost the same way people here viewed the Pearl Harbor attack of Dec 7th 1941.
